MHPT.BAS: a computer program for modified Hill–Piper diagram for classification of ground water
The Hill–Piper diagram is a widely used trilinear diagram to represent the chemical composition of natural waters, which aids the interpretation of the genesis of the chemical character of the groundwater in an aquifer. Handa extended this diagram by combining it with a modified U.S. Salinity Research Laboratory diagram, representing salinity by a single point in an extended diamond field instead of a circle, whose diameter is equivalent to its total dissolved solids. This modified diagram can also be used to determine the suitability of water for irrigation purpose. The code MHPT.BAS is written in BASIC. It gives either descriptive or graphic output, or both. For descriptive output, the program takes about 2 s to classify the data of 1000 water samples if it runs on Pentium under WINDOWS 95 and for the same data the program takes about 15 s if it runs under MSDOS. The graphic output can be obtained on dot matrix, inkjet or laser printers. The use of the program is demonstrated with a case study of the lower Vamsadhara river basin.

Toshiba Q3 misses expectations; keeps outlook
TOKYO (Reuters) - Toshiba Corp <6502.T>, Japan's biggest chipmaker, posted a smaller-than-expected operating profit as rising materials costs and tumbling PC and TV prices outweighed the benefits of a chip price recovery.
Toshiba, the world's No.2 maker of NAND-type flash memory chips after Samsung Electronics Co <005930.KS>, said it earned an operating profit of 10.22 billion yen ($113.6 million) in October-December, missing a market consensus of 25.7 billion yen.
Toshiba, which supplies chips to Apple Inc <AAPL.O>, kept its annual operating profit outlook at 100 billion yen, below a consensus average of 136 billion yen by 21 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
Toshiba, which also owns U.S. nuclear firm Westinghouse, is fighting to clinch nuclear power plant orders, while it tries to expand in lithium-ion batteries and power grids to counter chip price volatility.
Shares in Toshiba gained 8.5 percent in October-December, outpacing a 3 percent rise in Tokyo's index of electrical machinery stocks <.IELEC.T>.

What a big TV screen, and not the last I can watch football on Sunday afternoon (GO Steelers) on my big screen TV in the rain or not. Because I have many windows in my living room when we have sunny afternoon, I'll go upstairs and watch the game in my bedroom. If I have people watch the game, I pray for a storm day, LOL. I bought this set to replace 50-inch plasma that died after 3 years (6 weeks after the extended warranty, sigh ...). I'm quite happy (except the spare $ $) that the old TV is dead because it is fantastic. Good picture, incredibly beautiful, bright and clean. Sound is so-so, but decent. Samsung can not recommend this highly enough for those who want to buy flat screen. My experience with the delivery driver was good. In fact, even though I received a call saying that it will be delivered on Monday, someone called Sat and continued in the afternoon. I can hardly get away from the damn thing underwear!

I love this netbook! It’s speedy and has all the features a normal laptop and the bonus of being small and portable. The keyboard is great! It’s the best price around, as well. Windows 7 runs great on this HP. It is user friendly and very easy to setup. It’s great for the High School student. It does not have an Optical drive, but you can load Microsoft Office by loading the trial and extending it over the internet. Or I believe you can convert the Microsoft Office CD Rom into a USB. If not, you can always load Open Office for free from the internet. All in all, I completely recommend this product to anyone from the working mom to the college student. Check Special Price!

Here’s the thing,
I bought this netbook, got it, and loved it! I love the side, appearance, and workability of it! I have had it for about two weeks now and untill today had no problem with it.
The problem started when I went to change the desktop background. It wouldn’t let me so I went to the microseof twebsite and viewed a video on how to do it. I tried it and it didn’t let me. So i went onto a microsoft help forum and researched my problem. I wasn’t able to costomise and change my desktop background because windows 7 starter does not include that feature. I was so angry. I just perchased my own netbook with my own money and come to find out that I can’t even constomise my own wallpaper! I would like microsoft to know that this is an incredibly stupid feature. Now I do not know what to do! Should I spend hundreds of dollars and purchase windows 7 and spend annother on a CD attatchment(this netbook does not include one). Or should I just return the netbook and save my money to purchase a Mac? I am still deciding, but to those who are looking into purchasing a netbook with windows 7, i would remind yourself that you are limited and may have to buy the full version, which is VERY expensive.
would reccomend the netbook, NOT the windows…
