SHANGHAI, China (PRWEB) March 20, 2007

????"By listening directly to Chinese customers through digital-community tools and networks, Dell can deliver better, more customized products and a superior experience," said Mr. Dell. "About one-fifth of the world's population speaks Chinese as their first language. As the number of Dell customers expands globally and the online population doubles from one to two billion people over the next few years, we will continue to have conversations in the language of choice for our customers."

China, where Dell last year ranked No. 3 in computer shipments, is one of the company's fastest-growing markets. Dell's position in China after eight full years of operation is significantly ahead of what the company had achieved in the United States after a similar period of time.

At Direct2Dell Chinese, bloggers from Dell management, engineering, customer care and sales will blog about products and services, discuss IT trends, share work and life experiences, and listen to customers' feedback. Readers are encouraged to suggest topics and leave comments to interact with Dell bloggers.

Direct2Dell Chinese is an extension of Dell's existing English-language corporate blog (http://www.direct2dell.com) which started in July 2006. The company has been using Web 2.0 tools (digital communications tools) to develop deeper relationships with customers. Last month, Dell launched IdeaStorm (http://www.dellideastorm.com), an online community where customers can post ideas on technology and Dell products, services and operations. Another digital communications tool from the company, StudioDell (http://www.studiodell.com), enables customers to watch, download and upload videos and podcasts on Dell-related products and better harness emerging technologies.

For sale official Windows 7 System Recovery Discs

If you're like most PC users, you probably got Windows 7 with a new PC or laptop. And if you're like 99% of the population, you get your new machines from one of the major manufacturers. Dell, Acer, Asus, Sony, HP, Toshiba, Lenovo, who all have one thing in common: they don't give you a real Windows 7 installation disc with your purchase. Instead, they bundle what they call a "recovery disc" (that's if you're lucky - otherwise you'll have a recovery partition instead).

This disk is the only way of recovering a broken installation. Windows 7 System Recovery Disk has a complete "recovery center" that provides you with the option of recovering your system via automated recovery (searches for problems and attempts to fix them automatically), rolling-back to a system restore point, recovering a full PC backup, or accessing a command-line recovery console for advanced recovery purposes. However, it cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows 7.

Don't wait until your PC crashes to get a copy! Get your recovery disc today, so that when the time comes, you'll be ready!

What it does: The Windows 7 Recovery Disc can be used to access a system recovery menu, giving you options of using System Restore, Complete PC Backup, automated system repair, and a command-line prompt for manual advanced recovery.

What it doesn't do:  You cannot use the Windows 7 Recovery Disc to re-install Windows - it only fixes (not replaces!) Windows.

Why you need it:    If you bought your PC from a major retailer, you didn't get this CD with your hefty purchase.

Any questions? Feel free to ask.

Hey corsair huge fan of ur PSU’s. I have a 650TX which is great and I see u guys released th V2 version of the TX series. Whats the difference from the V1 to the V2?

  • wyzemann

    @CorsairMemoryInc

You did exactly what you set out to accomplish. However, you must realize that You Tube folks come in different levels of understanding. The lowest level of viewers will assume that everything done in this demo is sufficient, and they’ll probably emulate your vid. Now, once their new setup completely BURNS OUT; then their perception of Corsair will immediately tarnish resulting in your PSUs becoming synonymous with crap. So please be more careful with your how to vids.

This review is from: Dell Inspiron 15R 1570MRB 15.6-Inch Laptop (Mars Black) (Personal Computers)

I’ve had this for about a week now and really like it. I upgraded from an older Inspiron (1521) which was about the same size as this one.
The screen is nice and bright and the system seems fast for general use. I just upgraded the RAM today from the 4 gig that came with it to 8 gig. Wow what a difference! It boots very fast now and browsing is also almost instantaneous. You can get 8 gig of RAM from Crucial.com for less than $100. Totally worth it especially when you consider you can sell the 4 gig that came with the N5010 for about $40 on ebay. :) 8 gig is the max this laptop will do and it’s easily enough.

The only minor complaints I have are the following:
    1) The battery does not have any power lights on it to tell you how much power is remaining on the current charge. You have to actually boot the OS up to see how full you are.

    2) As with most laptops now, the function keys double up on features. The only caveat here is that the F2 key – which is the one you hit if you need or want to enter the BIOS during boot up – also is the key that turns on/off the wireless card. So the first time I tried to enter the BIOS I was a little late and accidentally turned off the wireless card and it took me a while to figure out why I couldn’t get online. But be aware that by default – the function keys operate the secondary features labeled on them and not the standard functions. For those you have to hold down the blue “FN” key next to the CTRL key.

    3) Lastly, the plastic trim that surrounds the keyboard and that you lay your hands on while typing feels a little loose in a couple of spots. You only notice it when your are typing. But it’s not a deal breaker.

I really like the slim ten-key. Very handy. The track pad is nice and big as are the left and right mouse buttons. The casing is the kind that is prone to finger prints which if you’re like me will bug you – but I can say that it’s not as bad as full glossy black.

One thing that really did annoy me is that Dell apparently now is not shipping back up discs for the OS. They claim that if you need to reinstall Windows 7 you can download the original image that was on your hard drive, from them. But what if you can’t get online until the OS is installed? Stupid. Frankly this is the kind of crap that encourages pirating because people are going to feel like they bought the OS and are entitled to a disc and I agree.

All in all, for the price – I think it’s a good laptop. And so far I’m pleased.

    ***UPDATE****
I have had to return this due to 2 keys beginning to stick and the looseness of the wrist rest to the right of the mouse pad. Ultimately maybe not well put together?

I have had this laptop since August of 2010. I have had NOTHING but PROBLEMS with this computer. My charger stopped working, they had to send me a new one. Then my hard drive went bad (no fault of my own), they had to replace it. My keyboard sticks and they replaced that. My charger went out again and Dell replaced it again. My keboard is still sticking after replacing my keyboard. All in all this is a horrible computer. You could get a much better computer for the same price. I would stay away from Dell.

To give you a concise view of my experience with Dell … here is my letter to them:

    Dear Dell,

Since your repair policy is one where you use REFURBISHED PARTS, (to make repairs), … I found it unacceptable to continue business with your company.
I bought and paid for a Laptop which was new and had a failed DVD Burner, within one week. Your support staff in India, told me that I would always get a replacement part that is a REFERB.

For this reason I have returned your product back to you.

I will tell all my friends and will post of my, “BAD EXPERIENCE,” … on every web site where I see Dell mentioned.

    Sincerely,

    Another unhappy customer

This review is from: Boxer 30 Pcs 4mm Precision Screwdriver Set (Misc.)

Initially I needed the T-5 torx bit, but I use this set more and more lately.

The driver part has a metal shaft and a plastic/rubber handle with a swivel top. It is more stiff than I thought, and while not a professional product, I doubt this will break anytime soon. The bits are not standard 5mm bits but a reduced 4mm size, so they are not interchangeable with most drivers.

    My set has:
    torx 20, 15,10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3
    hex (allen) 4mm, 3, 2.5, 2, 1.5, 1.3, 0.9, 0.7mm

There is a huge variety of bits and they are all magnetical. The case is very durable along with the screwdriver that comes with it. The problem is that the bit tips are very weak and bend REALLY easy. I understand that you should be gentle while using small bits like this, but these tips just hardly have the strength to take out commercial screws and they bend way to easily. They should have coated the tips in something stronger. I probably wouldn’t recommend these to a friend.
