Take a look into the Hp 2600N color laser printer. Forgive me, but I have no idea how much 900 pounds is, but this printer costs $ 399 in American dollars.
This printer has built-in networking, 600x600 dpi and I'm pretty sure it is A3 capable. The output quality of this printer is great and your superior will be well pleased.
If the 2600N is bot beefy enough for you, take a look into the HP 3600N which is faster and will give you a slightly lower cost per page.
These printers and a few more are listed on HP.com. I would definately stick with the HP printers because they have proven the most reliable. There are several printers on HP.com that offer printers for any solution and at several price points. You can even ask for assistance when chosing an HP printer on the website if you would like.
