Reboot in safe mode by pressing F10 as soon as your computer starts loading and then try to scan or run a disk check and hope you can rid of the virus or try restoring your computer to a date before the virus took over and then run a virus scan.

Start your computer in ‘Safe Mode’.
When your computer forst starts (while the computer logo is on the screen, eMachines, Dell, HP, etc, and before the windows logo) try pressing the [F1], [F2], or [F4] keys. I just keep pressing mine [F4] over and over so I can hit it in the right spot before Windows logo comes up. It might be a different [F*] key for your computer. Just have to try different ones.
You will get a screen that asks how to start computer. Choose ‘Safe Mode’. When Windows loads, run the virus scanner then. Also run AdAware. It’s a free download from LavaSoft…

If nothing else works, boot to safe mode and download hijackthis. Run it, and then post the log file at hijackthis website. It will identify what virus you have, and the kind folks at hjt will guide you on how to clean it. They will even ask you to rerun hjt and repost the log, to be sure you are clean!!
