Beware I might use 500 sheets of paper at home in a span of 2 years. I can't count how many ink cartridges I have had to buy in the last year. They are not cheap. But worst of it is you will run out of say yellow ink, and the printer completely dies on you. I tried to print in just Black and White but it won't let you print until you buy another cartridge. EVEN IF IT IS SNOWING OUTSIDE AT NIGHT. You better go buy another cartridge some where if need to print something. I ask Epson for a possiable fix for this and all they said was to buy more cartridges so I can have some spares. I think that they should just get out of the printer business and get a mask and a gun and be more honest about what they are doing.

When this printer actually worked it was fine. We had no problems scanning, faxing or printing. It does a decent job and is easy to use with good results. It does use ink up rather quickly which was the only thing that we didn't like about it. Less than a year later it suddenly wouldn't print anything more than some faint lines if anything at all. We replaced all the ink cartridges, went through a lot of troubleshooting and calls to Epson to finally figure out that it was broken. Luckily it was still under warranty so we were able to replace it with a different model. I personally wouldn't buy this model again. We didn't use it that much (maybe 10 pages a week on average) and it should have lasted a lot longer.

The fax in the printer is terrible. The printer is so-so. The fax will receive one day and not the next. I continuely get error messages about being out of paper. I have tried lots of paper and little amounts of paper and everything in between. The fax is extemely fussy and works when it wants to, not when I need it to work. The old Lexmark I used would allow all the fax settings to be set from the computer. Not so with the Workforce 600. The old Lexmark would also print pages in order. No so with the Workforce 600. When you print a report you must take the time to put it in order. Overall I can not recommend this printer. I wished I would have never bought. I will never buy an other Epson product again. This machine has been a real let down. We bought it to replace a Canon that I really loved but had seen better days. We are a good 6 months into this product and I am horribly, horribly disappointed. This machine had more features than I wanted but we got it anyway because it had mostly good reviews and the features were good ones. I should have sent it back immediately upon learning it did not duplex as it says it does. From the research we conducted this does not duplex with Apple products. That was strike #1. To be perfectly honest, had I known that prior to purchasing I would never had bought it because that was a MUST HAVE feature. I have been limping along ever since. It also does not duplex in the photocopy setting either. In the last 6 months we have changed the ink at least 3 times. We changed ink with our Canon at most 3 times a year. We thought this would be a greater savings but it has turned out just the opposite! The scan feature is really nice and I like it. It took awhile to get used to but it is a nice feature. As for printing well that's where my real frustration has come in. This machine will sometimes tell you it is out of paper when it has a full load of paper. No amount of adjust the amount of paper seems to help. I have been able to overcome this issue by holding the paper and putting a little pressure on it to go through the feeder. Until today this happened occasionally and with a thicker, card stock quality type of paper, now I cannot get it to print anything, even regular 20# paper. To be perfectly honest I am ready to throw it out the window. At this writing I have been working for over 2 hours to get it to print 5 sheets of paper for me. I have finally had enough and I think you should know how frustrating this machine is prior to your decision to purchase it. Maybe I've just got a lemon!
