These Verbatim Lightscribe CD-R Disk and their Lightscribe DVD Disk have been working just fine on my iMac desktop and my LaCie external drive/Lightscribe Labeler. I have burned/used many of these disk and so far I have had no defective disk. I'm happy

I love creating Lightscribe DVDs, as it provides a beautiful personalization to the DVD itself. The Verbatim Lightscribes are very good. I have never had trouble with them and so far, all of them are works great. I would definitely be ordering them again soon!

I used this set and never got any single burn fail at all which is really amazing. The quality of these DVDs are great and the LightScribe surface is also excellent. I already bought 3 packs of this item and I will buy more in future. Great job Verbatim.

I have been using Verbatim Lightscribe disk for about a year with no problems at all. Unfortunatly that is not the case with this batch. Every disk fails when burning to them unless I burn at 4X speed or slower. When at 4X I only had about a 50% fail rate. I had purchased a total of 60 disk and had over 40 fail.

These are really nice blank DVD's. I like the Light Scribe, so I can make my DVD's much more fancy than writing on them. I love the Light Scribe burner, and these DVDs work well with it. Nice quality.

I purchased these CDs specifically for my LG LightScriber burner. I have already used 5 of the discs and have loved the results. I have very limited experience with this setup (about 1 month) but everything is going well so far!

My Windows Laptop has burned every kind of DIsk-- and generally works great. Except with Verbatim. To date, I'm getting it to accept/acknowledge about 1 in every 5 disks I try to burn. Save your money and get something else.

My review is on the product itself, not the LightScribe technology. I expect my CD's to come out with 80min max of whatever music I choose every time. This technology should not have many flaws at this stage. And... they don't. I have performed 10 or so burned compilations without fail. Designs are laser etched every time. The CD's do what is expected of them. 5 stars for the CD's though they smudge real easily - cosmetic issue only. LightScribe is another issue, and while it's my first time using the technology, I expected better. TIP: I'm sure its a combination of the software to design them and the burner itself, but unless the images used in the design are dark, you won't get a good result.

Upon the demise of my four year old single core HP laptop that had served me well I searched for a desk top that would meet my needs. I reviewed Consumer Reports, CNET and other on line reviews of computers. I also looked into many types of processors. Once I found my processor I found the computer that used it and went from there. Long story short I came to the conclusion that this HP with the Core I3 processor was the one for me. Everything set up easily and has been working very well for about a month now. I am pleased with the size of the hard drive, processor performance and Windows 7 is good too. There are no negatives at all to date. After shopping around the electronic box stores I determined that there was nothing gained by purchasing from any of them thus I used Amazon and shaved a few bucks off the price. You might do better with another computer somewhere but for the money I would recommend this one to a best friend.

I received this computer 3 days ago and I still can't get it up and running! It comes with no phone modem, so I had to buy one--only for it not to fit, so I had to use an old one I had in one of my old computers. It has no place to plug in a different keyboard, only has 4 usb plugs in the back. So, there went my keyboard that I wanted to use. It comes with very limited instructions on Windows 7--can't figure out how to set up my email account to work with the internet explorer. It took me 2.5 days just to access the internet, in a round about fashion. This computer is slow--or it's defective--I don't know which one. I now have to do my online stuff on this stupid laptop that runs XP. I love the XP but hate using a laptop. I'm angry with this computer and want it to go away. Wonder if I can return it to AMazon??

I love the fact that this computer has speed, and Windows 7 is much better that Vista, but I spent almost 3 days attempting to back up my files and I still haven't been able to do this in Windows 7 Backup and Restore. I must now send the computer back to Amazon and hope that the replacement is better. Also, I believe that Windows/Microsoft should be more supportive and helpful to those of us who purchase computers installed with their operating systems. A customter service Rep from Microsoft tried to charge me $59 for tech support when I told her about the problem simply becasue Windows 7 was pre-installed on the computer. I have had this computer for exactly 5 days today.

This computer, loaded with 8 Gigs of ram and AMD Phenom, is nice and fast. My own computer use does not include any heavy duty gaming, so I can't provide any insight on performance from that perspective. However, my job is in computer graphics, and from that perspective, I can say this is a heck of a nice computer. Photoshop really zips on this thing, and my initial experiments with Premiere, Flash Pro, VirtualDubMod, and Pinnacle all look very good in terms of speed. I don't have any major complaints so far with the hardware. The downside to any HP computer is that this manufacturer is the worst purveyor of absolute junk software, not to mention loads of demo garbageware from various payola agreements they've signed. If you buy this or any other HP computer, and if you really care about its software environment, hop online and look for any guides you can find that describe how to remove and disable HP junk and garbageware. Plan on spending a full day cleaning the computer out. Then replace everything, especially the worthless HP software, with highly regarded opensource programs downloadable from CNET and other reputable sites. As for Windows 7, while the new operating system is not without a ton of annoyances, it is a reasonable improvement over Vista. First thing I did is kill the notorious User Account Control (UAC), although you need to know what you're doing if you take drastic measures like that. UAC is the amusing little system that confirms you really want to do whatever you just did, forcing you to click "OK" over and over as you try to actually use the computer. What a joy! I spent another full day changing Windows settings, trying to figure out where Microsoft hid certain features, and dumping much of the helpful (intrusive) trash that comes preconfigured with this operating system. It would be nice if Windows would just stay the heck out of the way. So my four stars go to RAM and AMD, none to HP or Microsoft.
