I have to say I'm extremely pleased with these CD-R's. I have had perfect copies of everything I have tried putting on these disc. Not one coaster out of 3 boxes. As far as the lightscribe again no problems at all. The only bad thing I can say about this product is the slim cases are not the best but will withstand normal use without a problem. Of course I am buying these more because of the CD's and if I wanted better slim cases I would buy them instead.

These Verbatim Lightscribe CD-R Disk and their Lightscribe DVD Disk have been working just fine on my iMac desktop and my LaCie external drive/Lightscribe Labeler. I have burned/used many of these disk and so far I have had no defective disk. I'm happy

I accidentially discovered that I had a 'Lightscribe' DVD player/writer. I looked for Lightscribe blamk discs and I found them at a good price here. Pretty neat when a home computer person can etch his own lable on a DVD!!!

I just got this computer and set it up last night. Just had to comment on how great it is so far! Everything was very easy to set up. It took me longer to dismantle my old computer equipment than it did to set this new one up! I was surprised to find that the keyboard and mouse that come with it are wireless. I was not expecting that. But it comes with the wireless provider to plug in the back, so it's all good. I actually prefer my old trackball mouse, so will probably get an adapter for that (this computer only uses USB ports) and not use the wireless mouse. I also have a very old printer with the old style of hookup (the prongs with a screw on each side). But I know I can get an adapter for that as well, and plug it into a USB port on this new computer. I had no trouble connecting to my existing cable internet at all. I can't wait to explore more on it! Noorah

I'd had my eye on this for 6 months at the local Best Buy, and apparently good things DO come to those who wait because I was able to snag this on Amazon for $480 and free shipping! The downside: (and this is my own fault for not noticing) it doesn't come with built-in wireless networking ability. That's inexpensive & easily fixable. The tower arrived quickly & looked great, however when I set it up, it became obvious that the front USB ports were not working. The computer didn't detect my flash that I'd inserted until I put the flash in one of the rear USB ports. I did a little research on the HP website, and after removing the side panel of the tower, I found that the USB connections had come loose during transit. After plugging them back in, the computer works great! With only one minor bump in the road, everything runs smooth! (I bought this computer to upgrade for the CS5 Photoshop & it's amazing!)

I had been looking to replace my 9 year old computer and found it in this unit. My daughter told me to get 8MB Ram so that it will handle everthing and it does. The price was great and I am very satisfied with it. My only problem is adapting from XP to 7.

If you are updating from Windows XP beware. There is little support for any problems that you may encounter. If you call support and they cannot solve the problem and you want to talk to someone who is an expert in Windows 7 you will have to pay extra. Also, support ends after 1 year, when the warranty is up. I am having trouble using my 3 year-old HP LaserJet printer with the HP Pavilion computer. Because the printer is more than one year old, HP offers no support for the problem, although they do have a Windows 7 driver for the printer. If I am scanning something into Photoshop, I have to close the scanner before I can continue working on the photo. In order to close the scanner on the new computer I have to use the Windows Task Manager, as Windows 7 does not put an icon for the scanner on the task bar. I see posts from other people about these and similar problems, but no information on how to solve them. Previously, I had a computer built by a local company with a good reputation. I should have done that again. Unless you are a business, you aren't going to get much help. The computer is fairly fast, although it tends to hang up occasionally - just a short wait, but that's annoying if you are busy.

Great price, fast and quiet.No complaints with tower, I am having somewhat of a problem with the keyboard and placement of space bar. It is so compact that I am having to learn how to type again. Keep hitting keys near the space bar and numbers near the top row of letters. This is proably because my old keyboard was layed out with more space between the keys.
