10x optical zoom, 10 mega pixels for a good price one drawback is the location of the flash you need to learn or teach how to actually handle the camera so as your fingers won't be in the flash's way in case you'll need it in auto mode.

This camera comes with a full manual on CD. No paper printed manual, only a paper "user guide". So, I installed CD, and printed all 100 plus pages to enable me to read it without being at my computer. I knew that before I bought it though. The features and performance overall are top notch for the price. Construction quality is decent, not excellent. Treat this baby with care, and it will treat you the same!!!

I bought this camera for a semester abroad in Ireland. I love it. The wide angle lens allows you to capture more of your surroundings with great detail. The camera is a bit larger than your conventional point and shoot, but the additional zoom and features are well worth it!

I was really ticked off when I bought this for the 24mm and found out that in video mode the 24mm turns into like 30mm. Very disappointing. But then the problem with the Samsung nv24HD which DOES keep at 24mm is that it only records 25 minutes. WHen will somebody make the perfect ultra wide?
